Recruiting via Text- Tip #1 Small Budget, Big Results Recruiting Series

No one doubts the best way to reach a candidate is via their mobile phone; I wanted to share a tip we have been using in my recruiting agency for over 2 years with great results; and it is free!

Using an online texting service is cheaper, faster, and has delivered better results when used in combination with email and direct calling. I personally like

Why I like it:

  1. Register an account for free
  2. You can send multiple text at one time
  3. You have a choice of receiving replies via your phone, online, or text

Tips to increase your % of candidate call backs:

  1. Out of your choices to receive replies, I like having them come to my email.
  2. Be sure to include your email, phone, and quick compelling note in fewer than 160 characters.
  3. Remember the candidate might not know who you are, be specific. What is the coolest thing about the position?

Example: Front and Back-end LAMP developer; PC Mag awarded gadget and pay is great.
